POSITION FOR HIRE
PART TIME - PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST
We are seeking to hire a Part-Time Public Relations person who will be responsible for building and maintaining an information network for St Anne Parish. The selected candidate would establish and maintaining public relations with the parish and local community, writing press releases and other social media communications.
To be successful in this role, you will need an understanding of networking, communications and social media. Previous experience is an advantage.
PUBLIC RELATIIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain relationships with community
- Write press releases and other media communications to promote parish life and events.
- Prepare and edit organizational publications.
- Update and maintaining in house information fields and Web content.
PUBLIC RELATIONS REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in journalism, PR, marketing or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
- Deadline-oriented with follow-up and reporting skills.
- Creativity in securing coverage and with traditional outlets and social media.
SALARY AND COMPENSATION
- Based on 10 hrs. per week
- Ability to work onsite and from home
