The Roman Catholic Parish of St Anne
was founded in 1966 as a mission to Holy
Angels Parish in Plaistow, NH. In 1979,
then Bishop Odore J. Gendron established St Anne as an independent and canonical parish. Our parish is comprised of the gift
of faith and witness of the communities of Hampstead, Sandown, Danville, Atkinson and other surrounding communities.
Rev. Paul W. Daneault was installed as the first and founding pastor on June 28th, 1979, and served until 1982. From 1982 to 1998, Rev. Florent R Bilodeau served as the appointed pastor. In 1998, Rev. Frederick J. Pennett was appointed pastor, In May of 2002, Deacon Bill Mullen was appointed to Saint Anne Parish and assumed the role of Pastoral Associate. In June of 2010 Rev. Steven G. Montesanti assumed the responsibility as pastor. On January 22, 2014, Rev. Marc R. Gagne became the current, and fifth pastor of St Anne Parish and the parish community.
In 2019, Saint Anne observed a year long celebration of our 40th Anniversary as a parish faith community. In 2024, we observed our 45th Anniversary.
In June of 2022, Deacon Terry Sullivan, was assigned by Bishop Libasci to St Anne following his first assignment as a deacon at St Joseph in Epping.
We are the total sum of the efforts, beliefs and living faith that each person who has called Saint Anne home has passed onto us. The true identity of Saint Anne Parish is not its campus, buildings or even the materials from which they were built. The true identity of St Anne Parish is the Body of Christ that gathers every week. It is the people who create its life and energy, offer its expressions of faith and who serve to live out the Gospel mission given to us by Christ. We are a parish community that has grown to approximately 2600 families.
We are a parish that consists of members of all ages. We are a growing community that offers a diversity of prayer and worship experiences where parishioners bring their own unique experiences of faith to life. The people of St Anne Parish are dependent on one another: to provide not only the obvious financial support of our parish, but more importantly to support each other in drawing closer to Christ. If you are in the area, come join us for Mass and prayer. If you're moving to the area, consider adding your gifts and talent to our community.
If you are only here by way of the Internet and are seeking information, please let us know if there is something we didn’t answer for you so we can strive to better improve our site. In the meantime, please keep us in your prayers, as we pray for all those who visit us.
May the Risen Christ fill your life with the power of the Holy Spirit, and may Good St Anne, mother of the Blessed Virgin and grandmother to the Lord, intercede on your behalf.
Peace.
